Mates...
It was about time that i complete some of my incomplete treks... i had two treks so far which stayed incomplete...
1. Chandrashila... last time heavy snow, my bad health prevented me from claiming the peak...
2. Patalsu Peak... i aint lettin tat one go... if fortune permits, i am goin back there again this year itself.... last month i got stuck in landslides and heavy rains and had to comeback half way from patalsu... remember that 60 hrs of travel in 3 days...

Anyways... last weekend out of the blue me and Pankaj decided for a small trek... what could i think off..other than Chandrashila.. and we were game for it... we hooked up a BEAR to go along with us... and trust me he kepts us entertained all the way... Mr Shubhodip...
Theres this lil story about Mr Shubhodip....he is a superman in his own way.... remember Dr Mondal...something like that, but not upto that level... You see Dr Mondal was a Genious... a master of disguise... who did the wierdest possible things tat not many wld do on this planet... Mr Shubhodip was much more normal....
The story goes like...there are loads of Mosquitoes in Gurgaon especially at the place were Shubhodip stays. Every evenin wen Shubho returns bak home they hover over his head and follow him where ever he goes. They enter along with him in the lift, get out of the lift with him and then enter his house on the 5th floor and FEAST all night on him...Shubhodip was a troubled man...
One fine day he struk a brilliant idea...he fools the idiot mosquitoes... now he takes the lift... gets off on the 4th floor and takes the stairs to the 5th floor and the mosquitoes keep wondering ... What happen why dint the doors open???????? ........ How brilliant Mr. Shubhodip is...
But as he said mosquitoes kept hovering over his head and follow him everywhere... so how come they dint follow himup the stairs!!!!!!!!! wierd isnt it... Anyways leave alone the mosquitoes and lets get back to the topic....
Wait a minute... jus a moment ago Mr Shubhodip told me another of his interesting stories...i have to tell you this... The Fly collecting competition.. story says...
Shubhho has been staying in hostel since class 3 or 2. When he was in class 10 there was a competion were in yu had to collect flies...Every Black fly had one point and a blue colored fly a lil bigger in size had 5 points.
So collecting the blue flies..after killing them was his main priority and rotten fruits were the best way to attract them..Every 2nd or 4th Saturday when his parents came to meet him they brought along some fruits... and yu know wat happend to those fruits...he use to kill flies with the rubber bands... talented he sure is...it seemed that Jack Fruit was the best bet!!!!!!!!!

Wow... he never told me wether he won the competition...guess wat the prize was...a Toffe... yess a small Toffe... imagine yu kill soo many flies...and rot all your fruits jus to win a Toffee... Damn here we have another Genious... "My friends its not about the Toffee its about Winning"... i know yu dint even think about it...cos only Genious people think that way...
After all this stories its worth taking a closer look at Mr Shubhodip...

ON THE WAY TO CHOPTA

All drenched up in the rain we had some tea in Sari village and left for Chopta. On the way we captured some fabulous view...

CHANDRASHILA

Once we reached Chopta we checked into a small hotel... changed and went to a close by Dhaba... To our happiness we find Sweet Corn Mushroom Soup....me and Pankaj almost had a packet each... 3 bowls per head... we were tat hungry... Dal Chawal and Jeera Aloo was superbly fantastic... a Goodnight sleep and early morning wake up... A very clear early morning we headed straight towards Chandrashila..check out the pics here....

At the end of the day beautiful views.. of the massive Himalayas... Standing in front of us from South-East to North-West aligned were the Chaukhamba, Teen Mala, Haathi Parbat, Neelkant, Kedar Dome, Bhagirathi Sisters & Shiv Ling, Yamnotri and Hanuman Chatti....I think Chandrashila is the best place to view the whole of Gharwal Himalayas on a Clear day... Once again let me thank the Almighty for the beautiful Himalayas that we have...
